Biography
Laure Atanasyan is a French director based in Paris. After studying cinematography and camera in Cannes, she began her career working on feature film sets as a camera assistant, gaining invaluable experience alongside renowned directors and directors of photography.
She soon transitioned into directing, creating music videos across Europe and the United States. At the heart of her work is a passion for directing both actors and non-actors, creating intimate environments where authentic, deeply human characters can emerge.
Her connection to fashion developed through a series of documentaries for Issey Miyake, where she captured the creative process behind the Homme Plissé runway shows. This formative experience established a lasting dialogue in her work between style, movement, and storytelling.
With a dynamic camera, a playful visual sensibility, and a distinctly contemporary approach, Laure seamlessly blends narrative filmmaking with the codes of fashion and luxury. Her work is characterized by fluidity, elegance, and emotional depth. She has collaborated with leading brands and fashion houses including Dior, Isabel Marant, Acqua di Parma, Vogue, Cartier, Boss, and Lacoste.
Alongside her work in fashion and luxury, Laure continues to develop fiction projects, driven by a deep passion for storytelling. She is currently writing a shortfilm screenplay that was developed through an artist residency program.
